AFTC Health News
The American Fox Terrier Club is officially enrolled in the Canine Health Information
Center, otherwise known as the CHIC program. We follow in the footsteps of the many
breeds that are enrolled and participating in this program.
The best way to familiarize yourself with the program and its requirements, is to
go on their website and read the wealth of information they have for you. It is
www.caninehealthinfo.org .
To find the Smooth and Wire requirements click on “CHIC Breeds”.
The Orthopedic Foundation For Animals website lists health clinics that are taking
place in conjunction with shows. If you are going to one of these shows, you may
consider taking dogs for the health testing you need done. It is often offered at
a reduced rate. This website is www.offa.org,
and you click on “Health Clinics”.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I have
chosen to be brief about the details because I think the best way to get the information
is to look on the website. I have written about the CHIC program several times in
newsletters and spoke about it at the annual dinner, so many are familiar with it.
